You know, I think this Ask Mefi poster isn't really concerned about the cow as much as they are trying to find a reason to avoid being concerned about the cow.

My comment, which might be deleted for derailing by the time you get there, was:

Risking derailing, but: While you're tracking the humane treatment of the cow, consider the humane treatment of the slaughterhouse workers, too.
